What We Do
We provide support to young people with Additional Support Needs from birth, through their school years, and beyond. This support is delivered in a variety of ways. We offer opportunities for young people to develop friendships and skills through our youth clubs, play schemes and activity clubs.
How we do it
We offer weekly youth clubs where young people can relax and enjoy themselves whilst developing social and life skills in a safe, fun and friendly environment. Our play schemes operate during the school holiday periods to enable young people to participate in social outings to exciting locations with their peers. Both our youth clubs and play schemes are run by experienced Play Leaders, and are also supported by teenage volunteers which provides a unique peer group environment.
S.H.I.P. has developed strategic partnerships with key organisations within Perth and Kinross, such as Perth & Kinross Council and PKAVS, as well as other voluntary sector organisations. Through this network we have developed and continue to develop opportunities for the young people we support, and their families, to access activities which would otherwise be difficult to attain.
